For the first time, you and the family will be able to watch a live broadcast of Game I of Holden State of Origin on the big screen with thousands of other excited fans.

It’s the ideal family-friendly setting where you can watch the action and soak up the legendary Origin atmosphere for FREE.

Qlder Stage & Forecourt


This is where you can sit back, relax and soak up the footy-themed entertainment happening on stage.

The line-up includes game shows, match replays, fun interactions for the kids and live panels featuring Former Origin Greats.

Legends Walk


Collect Origin Legends when you take part in the Legends Walk – an exciting new augmented reality treasure hunt experience for fans.

See how many legends you can collect and learn about their proudest achievements as you explore the festival. Look, there’s Artie Beetson!

Locker Room


Maroons jerseys are a must when you visit this life-sized replica of the players’ dressing room at Suncorp Stadium.

Have your photo taken in the Locker Room at Maroon Festival and imagine what it’s like to be given a pep talk by Cam Smith at half-time. Don’t forget to tag your photos #maroonfestival.

Health & Wellness Green

Here’s where aspiring foodies big and small can meet and learn about the importance of good nutrition, smart food choices and keeping active. 

Expect lots of food, fun workshops and some special performances for the kids. 

Fit + Fun Zone

An action-packed zone where you and your mini-maroons can get moving! Learn some great sports-based skills and put them to the test with fun, interactive games, physical challenges and entertainment galore.

A great way for the kids to burn some of that energy.

Waterfront Garden Bar


When it comes to great pub grub, no one does it like a Queenslander! The Waterfront Garden Bar will feature an all-Queensland menu of family favourites made with local produce from across the state.

You can also raise a glass to the Maroons with an ice-cold beverage in hand overlooking the Brisbane River. Anyone thirsty?

Maroon Festival Amateur Golf Tournament

Tuesday 30 & Wednesday 31 May

Coordinated by the PGA of Australia, the inaugural Maroon Festival Amateur Golf Championship brings together one of Queensland’s most recognised sporting event with Australia’s largest competitive sport.

Played over 36 holes, the Championship offers a unique golf experience at two iconic golfing venues. Players will tee off at Sanctuary Cove Golf & Country Club and Indooroopilly Golf Club, with the event culminating in a night to remember at Game I of the 2017 Holden State of Origin.

Tastes of QLD Food Stalls


Some of Brisbane’s best local food vendors will make an appearance at the festival, meaning you can fill up and feed your troops with special signature dishes that celebrate Queensland produce and ingredients.
