At Maroon Festival’s Health & Wellness Green, you’ll find fun activities for the kids (did someone say Peppa Pig?!) centred around food, nutrition and having fun with exercise.

Along with cooking demos, there’ll be a hula-hoop display, face-painting, giant games, a craft zone and even an interactive hip-hop class! Meanwhile, healthy cooking demonstrations by celeb chefs and players will teach parents and kids the importance of good nutrition as part of an active lifestyle.

Everyone’s favourite little piggy will be first up at the Health & Wellness Green to entertain the littlies. We recommend arriving well ahead of time to get a good view of Peppa! Kids will have a chance to have a cuddle with her after the performance is over.

In this session from Good Quick Tukka, League Nation Live Host Nathan Appo will cook his favourite healthy meal live on stage and chat about its nutritional value.  Inspired by Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food, Good Quick Tukka teaches that anyone can learn to cook if they give it a go. The aim of the program is to increase the number of meals being prepared. Cook it, plate it, share it is the name of the game!

As the Maroon River Parade docks at South Bank, the Health & Wellness Green will broadcast all the action on the big screen. You’ll see the players make their way through the crowd and take their place on the Queenslander Stage! As the boat arrives, former Miss Universe Kimberley Busteed will interview Former Origin Great Brent Tate about life after football.
